Born in Aberdeen, Kirstin studied landscape architecture at Edinburgh College of Art, undertaking a student exchange programme with the University of Guelph, Canada. Following this she worked at BRO Landscape Architects in the South of Holland as part of her year out placement. After graduating from Edinburgh University in 2012 Kirstin joined the OOBE team in the autumn of 2012.
After 2 years spent in our Newcastle office Kirstin moved south and assisted in the setting up of OOBE London and then in October 2017 moved onto opening up our Glasgow office. She is working on a variety of projects including a flagship leisure centre and a number of extra care homes for the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder of privately owned property.
Kirstin is passionate about design as a creative response to social interaction, place and process. She enjoys using a variety of graphic styles, especially those mixed with layering and collaging. By using these techniques at a variety of scales and levels of detail, she captures the depth and textures of unique landscapes.
Kirstin enjoys sipping on Earl Grey tea and interjecting terrible pop classics into the office playlist. She likes to continue being creative outside of work, whether it be producing graphics or crafting a new baking phenomenon to test out on the London team!
