Planning Permission for Bury Interchange

We're delighted to have received planning permission for a new pedestrian bridge at Bury Interchange, in Manchester.

The proposed bridge will create new, accessible pedestrian connections to the tram platforms at Bury. This first phase sets the scene for the redevelopment of the Interchange, integrating bus, tram, and active travel into the Bee Network.

"Congratulations to the entire project team on this significant milestone!" - Mike Goodall

"As the landscape architects for the scheme, we are excited to contribute to the creation of a high-quality public realm. The design focuses on enhancing pedestrian experience, integrating green infrastructure, and ensuring the new connections are not only functional but also visually appealing and sustainable." - Emma McNicholas

“Efficient, effective, and sustainable, Bury will be the first net-zero carbon interchange in Greater Manchester, working towards Mayor Andy Burnham’s 2038 Net Zero targets – meaning a greener, healthier city for generations to come.” - Hawkins\Brown.

Our team look forward to working in Manchester and continuing our collaboration with Hawkins\Brown Transport for Greater Manchester, Willmott Dixon, Arcadis, CBRE UK, Renaissance Associates Limited, & Futureserv Consulting Engineers.
