Promotions at OOBE

Alison Finch has been promoted to Associate, a role in which she will help to lead the Edinburgh office. Since joining OOBE in 2023, Alison has proven herself to be an incredibly intelligent and passionate landscape architect. She has demonstrated exceptional skill across a wide range of projects, including large-scale housing, extra care developments, and urban public realm.

In addition to her strong ability to collaborate with other design consultants and solve complex project challenges, Alison also excels at developing and mentoring junior members of the team. She is particularly interested in incorporating nature-based solutions to address the impacts of climate change and is currently leading exciting projects, including the Meadowforth masterplan and Oaklands College.

Larry Huo has also been promoted to Landscape Architect and has become an important part of the Newcastle office. She joined OOBE three years ago after graduating with distinction from the Edinburgh College of Art. With a strong passion for ecology and nature, she specialises in landscape design and provides invaluable support for design development across internal teams at OOBE. She is currently working on significant projects, including the Pilgrim Street and Blindwells masterplans.

These appointments and promotions reflect OOBE’s ongoing commitment to recognising and nurturing talent from within the company as it continues to grow and innovate. We are particularly proud to celebrate the promotion of these talented women, and we look forward to supporting them as they take on new leadership roles and their careers continue to develop with the firm.
